MARE MANAGEMENT
Our pride is here. Kyle Ranch is located on 230 acres of sandy loam soil with high quality Coastal Bermuda grass. This allows us to designate special areas for older and less aggressive mares, dry mares, and wet mares. This also allows lots of room for yearlings to run and play. In the fall, we plant two thirds of the ranch in winter wheat for excellent protein for the mares last trimester. |

EMBRYO TRANSFER
The embryo transfer program at Kyle Ranch has proved to be extremely successful. We had an impressive success rate on transfers of embryos, due to our Breeding Manager’s meticulous attention to the donor as well as the recipient estrus cycles. We also give credit to our outstanding group of recipient mares picked – not only for reproductive soundness, but also for age, size and disposition. |

Mares that are receiving transported semen can be palpated on a daily basis to determine the optimum breeding date. |

FEEDING PROGRAM
Because we ride what we breed, there is great care in the feeding of our mares, weanlings and yearlings. The value of our feed is emphasized with nutritionally tested alfalfa hay, imported from South Dakota and New Mexico. |
